Even the strength of its bite and pain it can cause seems to have become ineffective in helping the animal survive.

Do let us know what you think of the most strongest animal bites in the world in terms of PSI.
the snapping turtle is wrong. contrary to popular belief a snapping turtle has the bite force of a human at most
ya and the lion has 600 PSI
Jaguars are 2000 psi
A common snapping turtle, yes. An alligator snapping turtle is a whole different concept.
Hi Randell,
The rating PSI is pounds of force per square inch and since the common snapping turtles’ jaws come to points (even more prominent in the case of the aligator snapping turtle!) it is correct! (much to my surprise)
I would have said the same too. If you’re bitten by one of these it has the potential to break bone!
Hope this clears it up!
Incorrect, it was directly measured that a snapping turtle has a bite force of 1200 psi. There is no way it can be as low as a human bite because human bite forces are 100 psi and snapping turtles are able to bite through broom sticks. 100 psi isn’t enough to break a broomstick . I’m afraid that the person who tested the information you supported tested a juvenile. There are reports of ast biting fingers off which is clearly something a human can’t do ( no human fingers do not come off like carrots ). It takes about 200 psi to crack a human finger which ast bites off with ease.
No Tasmanian tiger. Do your research.
They haven’t been recorded. The species died off before the psi system was introduced.
Where’s the Saltwater Crocodile? The title says “20 Most Strongest Bites in the World In Terms of PSI”. That is the strongest bite in the world of any animal that’s still alive.
theres something missing its weird but true a panda has more biting power then a lion
An orca has a bite force of 19000, yes, nineteen thousand; I wonder why it was left out?
And Tyranosaurus Rex? I guess at least 20000.
The jaguar has 1500 psi not 700 psi
Also, It is estimated that a killer whale has a bite force of 19,000~, far more than a Saltwater crocodile. However, people have never been able to measure it with accuracy.
They tested a Giant Panda, who got 2603 PSI.
black piranha
Nah they dont thats a myth. This is based of the exaggeration that it takes 19000 psi to crack a human femur when it takes 800 psi. Also crocs crack human femurs all the time so I don’t know where they got that logic.
Superb, what a website it is! This website presents useful
information to us, keep it up.
Spotted Hyena? 1,100 PSI
