But they really prefer the snowy habitat where they can adapt comfortably with their body. Normally they tend to live in the treetops and build their nests in the brush of the upper areas of arctic tundra.
Interestingly snowy owls choose a breeding partner and live the rest of the life with that particular owl. The breeding procedure usually takes place during the month of February and March. The male kills prey and hold it in their mouth to attract the females. Now the after the females choose a breeding partner, the mating happens and the females usually lay 3-11 eggs which is called a clutch. After the eggs are laid, the females become very shy and protective towards their young ones. But lastly, you should know that unlike the other owl breeds, snowy owls are not nocturnal in nature and they hunts and do most of their things in the day light.
