Pets are a joy to have in the house as they provide the kind of companionship that is really unconditional and warm. They also provide full on entertainment with the kind of activities that they get up to. On the other hand, pets are also a responsibility that owners need to be prepared for. This means that you need to care for your pet in every aspect – both mentally and physically. The one thing that you have to be prepared for is that your pet will get into all sorts of things and since they don’t possess that much guile also get caught in the act.
The expression on a pet’s face when it is caught in the act is a photo opportunity begging to be clicked. Yes, pet’s do have expressions and they can actually manage to project an aura of guilt mixed with chagrin as well as a “I am not that sorry for what I did and I did it just to find what it feels like” kind of expression.
Most pets like puppies are more likely to get into trouble and also get caught in the act when they are in their younger stages. The unlimited energy they possess and the unabashed curiosity they have for all thing around make them get into situations that are hard for most of us to comprehend or imagine in any way. Even adult dogs are likely to get into weird situations and they are not that much different in their expressions, body language and demeanor than puppies.
Cats on the other hand, are more likely to be more disdainful and suavely indifferent when in they are caught in the act of doing something that they are not supposed to have done, especially when they are grown up. Kittens however do not possess the ability to project disdain and may have an expression of guilt when caught in the act. Plus the frisky energy that they possess may make you want to melt into kindness and let the animal get away with whatever they are supposed to have done.
But laughing at their antics after having caught your pet in the act, may not be the right thing to do at all times. This is because pets are like small children and the worst part is that they are unlikely to grow beyond a certain level as children are wont to do. This means that they need some discipline and some firm rules so that their behavior is curbed.
You could either talk to an expert on some guidelines in this regard, or hire an expert to do the job or do some research online to get the necessary inputs and also come up with some on your own as you handle your pet on a daily basis.
While a pet getting caught in the act of doing something naughty or something that they are not supposed to do may seem amusing at first, it is not something that is to be encouraged. In fact, you will find that not curbing this kind of behavior will cost you a lot of time and effort in setting things right once the pet has done its mischief. What is more, it may even place the pet and the other people in your home in danger. So do make sure that you are taking the right steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur again even as you secretly enjoy the mischief that your pet has gotten into. While disciplining the pet is a good idea, it is better not to punish or yell in such situations as it can only make things worse.
