As birds go, peacocks are quite huge but this in no way deters their beauty. They have a nice neck and a balanced body but what remains in your mind is the tail that is composed of feathers. The tail drags behind the peacock touching the ground in its abundance as the peacock saunters. This lovely bird is known to lift this tail, spread it out like a halo, and dance with grace when the mood strikes. It is believed that peacocks break into a dance of joy when it is about to rain.

Though the peacock is known for the immense beauty of its looks and the way it dances, it is no lightweight. Can you imagine that this pretty bird is the natural predator of snakes? It is true; peacocks can attack, kill and eat snakes. This is a sight that is rarely forgotten once you witness it. Peacocks also come in a white variation though this one does not stand out that much in terms of beauty when compared to the colorful species.

While the lovely peacock is a bird that is worth looking at and a sight that is indeed very enjoyable, but it is not a bird that has a good voice. In fact, if you hear the noise of a loud and often irritating peacock first, you will be hard put to believe that such a horrible sound can come out of such a beauteous creature.
