We humans give a lot of care to our babies. After a baby is born we spend a lot of time giving company to them. But the animals really have some fascinating ways to take care of their new born babies. Slowly after our baby grows up a little, we start teaching various things with different other processes. Similarly the animals also teach their baby to make them a perfect one when they grow up. Human parents always think to send their babies to pre-school after a certain age. But the animals are quiet different in this matter. They think of protecting their babies from predators so that they can survive. Actually till a baby becomes perfect to live alone, the mother keeps the baby in their care.
In a vast animal world, some mothers are really known to be good mothers those have an extraordinary care for their babies. But some animals have proved themselves to be the worst mothers in the world. Normally the father animals are less caring and are not at all bothered about their babies. The growing up age varies from animal to animal and each of them has a different life span. Their style of living with the babies also differs a lot.
Elephants are said to be one of the best animal guardians. As we know that animals stay in herds to protect them from all the difficulties and attack. The mother elephant always keeps their young ones near them and provide them with enough milk supply and teachings. The young elephants get enough guidance from their mothers. And most amazingly the ones never leave their mother at that time.
Another example of ‘world class’ mothers are Walrus. They keep their babies with them for first two years and after that they become independent. As the walrus gains a weight very rapidly the main responsibility of a mother walrus is to teach their babies to swim and pull their bodies from water. You will see in pictures that a mother walrus is always helping their babies to learn swimming and stay for a long time in water.
Polar bear also comes in the list of good mothers. As the habitat of this polar bears are the arctic regions so they face a lot of problem in growing up their babies due to natural calamities. They don’t have a lot of predators but their main difficulty is nature. So a mother Polar bear always teaches her baby to struggle with all the calamities they face all round the year. During the hibernation period it is also seen that the mothers are teaching their cubs to dig and conceal holes. They also teach their baby to hunt and catch food for their meals.
Coming to the part of dolphins, they are very sensitive mothers. Dolphins are said to be intelligent and most of the time they stay in a group which protects them from their predators. Some researches has been made underwater and it has been seen that a bottlenose dolphin mother start teaching their baby from a very small age. The video footage shows that a mother dolphin teaches her baby to hunt various fishes and protect them from large predators.
