Animals are quite a beautiful sight to behold and when they are moving at a speed they manage to look even more awesome. Many animals are indeed known for being the epitome of grace and beauty when they are running.
Some heavy animals like elephants are supposed to be surprisingly fast and this may come as a surprise to you when you see the huge pachyderm in motion.
Animals like horses run as if they are born to do that and may be in a way they are. Domestic pets like dogs are good runner when the situation calls for it depending on their breed.
Feline creatures that are the members of the cat family are known to be graceful and seemingly deliberate when they are running.
However, the cheetah is known for being one of the fastest creatures in the animal kingdom and the running of a cheetah is a sight to watch. Deer and gazelles also possess good grace and speed and seem to make their movements look like poetry in motion.
Many animals tend to run in herds and this is something of a sight that has to be seen to believe. When takes a first look at a herd of animals running like the wildebeest, the first glance would have your heart pounding. You will feel that at this speed, the animals are bound to harm themselves, but when you look closely, there is a pattern to their running. The best part is that this running pattern and the form they organize themselves in, is something that comes intellectually and is implemented through some signs and sounds.
On the other hand, when some animals are running when they are faced with danger, the panic makes them run in a way that could cause harm to themselves as well as others around them. In the same way, the reason for which an animal is seen running will reflect in the way they run. If a puppy is running after a ball or Frisbee, then you can see the mischief and naughtiness reflected in the way the puppy runs.
When an animal runs to give chase to another as part of moving in for a kill, then this style of running will be entirely different. You will be able to see the intensity and focus of the animal giving chase. You can also see the way the prey runs is totally different too. The animal that is being chased will reflect despair, hope and fear in the way it runs. The same way a horse running for the joy of running will show the joy in its stride as it does the thing it was meant to do.
Elephants on the move and when they are running are really interesting to watch. They squeal, trumpet and run full tilt with their ears flapping and their tails in a slightly elevated position. Any other being would be well advised to stay away from the path of marauding elephants. Likewise cattle like cows and sheep though not as aggressive also tend to cause some harm due to their hooves if you are not too careful.
