30 Pictures of Wild Animals Requesting to Rub their Belly

With the best pair of hiking boots on and a mosquito repellent tied carefully around his waist, we would expect our native wildlife photographer to hike to the ice-covered mountains and return with an interesting film to develop. As expected, we have been rather amazed with the amazing yet astounding pictures of wild animals that were caught in action and zoomed to speculation.

PERKS OF BEING A WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER
Being a wildlife photographer or a zookeeper or perhaps a circus owner, interacting with wild animals and tending to their needs via feeds seem like an ardent cliché. Today, wild animals too, have picked up some traits that might help us to interact with them quite intimately, and understand their responses adequately too.

Most wild animals are quite wary of their surroundings, especially humans, and do not tend to invite them in within their personal space. As you can spot a number of photographers lurking in wildlife every now and then, we see that our intelligent wildlife has now begun to nurture the advances of humans quite politely. As long as you are armed with a shooting camera and not ammunition, you can expect rhinos, wolves, koala bears and polar bears to stroll towards you and request you for to rub their bellies as a call for intimacy!

It is not every day that you would see pictures of wild animals requesting to rub their belly but while you are out on the road or on the hills for quite a long time, you could be the one taking one while giving a wild animal belly rubs!

CANT’ MAKE UP FOR MISSING A KOALA BEAR’S CUTENESS

Let’s start with the cutest animal aboard our list. While eucalyptus trees might be too hard to let go for koala bears, it seems that these puffy balls of cuteness are also attracted to belly rubs which are quite evident in their mischievous grins. Like kangaroos, koala bears too, are found in Australia and may be just the sight for any Australian wildlife photographer. Emerging with animals is probably the call for any tropical rain forest or a fully stocked jungle, and missing these sights in action might be a big bummer for you.

The Koala bear in the pictures below can be seen tilting its head back in content while receiving a thorough belly rub, and the tight clasp on the photographer’s hand makes it too obvious to understand their level of trust and intimacy. Our hearts might just escape our rib cages at this sight, but we caught a pair of cubs requesting their owners to do the same, and we can’t make sure which animal looks the cutest during their belly rubs.

INVADING A RHINO’S PERSONAL SPACE WITH CONSENSUAL BELLY RUBS

Disregarding what you would see in animated movies, rhinos are considered to be wild and might attack you if you invade their personal space. On the contrary, rhinos are known to be quite fond of belly rubs and may hump towards you if they feel comfortable and safe in your presence.

GETTING OUR SILENT WISH TRUE WITH WOLVES REQUESTING FOR BELLY RUBS

You know you have been binge-watching Game of Thrones when you notice your heart melting at the sight of a wolf, and desiring to pet one. Well, the wolf shown below knows just how to put your desires in order by requesting a belly rub from you. Make sure you go easy on the strokes and avoid rubbing the wolf’s chest since it can anger the wild animal and make things quite bitter for you.

Being avid lovers of animals, we have been gathering insights regarding our tame pets such dogs, cats and horses, but we never knew that wild animals needed just a hint of intimacy from humans in their lives as well. With cats rolling and purring for extra milk and strokes around their backs, and dogs licking our faces playfully, we never knew that wild animals could too, demand for their intimate rights through several playful tactics.
