Bananas: If your dog loves eating banana, then you can feed them with banana but in a limit. 1 inch is enough for a day so not more than that. Bananas are very rich in potassium and carbohydrates, so it can play a major role in getting these minerals. Remember that you dog must not eat the peel above the banana it can harm them.
Blueberries: Blueberries are very beneficial fruits for us humans but it is also the same beneficial for the dogs. This fruit is very rich in minerals. Blueberries are source for antioxidants, selenium, zinc and iron. Again it is also very high source of vitamins such as Vitamin A, C, E and B complex. So 2 or 3 blueberry per day is an idea treat.
Cranberries: Cranberries are very good fruit for feeding dogs. It is very beneficial for dogs and acts as great source for Vitamin C, manganese and fiber. It helps fight the urinary tract infections plus amazingly balances the acid base in dog’s body. Better idea is to make a stew of cranberries. Mix two tablespoons of this stew with dog food for proper diet.
Oranges: A great fruit for the winter time. You can’t even think that oranges are so much beneficial for dogs. It is a source of fiber, potassium, calcium, folic acid, iron, flavonoids, phytonutrients, Vitamins A, C, B1 and B6. But feed them in a big portion as it may cause stomach upset. And be careful that your dog must not get any part of the orange tree or plant.
Pumpkin: Pumpkin is a great fruit for humans and yeah for dogs also. It is the source of fiber, beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, zinc, iron, potassium and vitamin A. You can also feed your dog with pumpkin seeds and the best way for that is providing unsalted, roasted seeds. 1-3 tablespoons of pumpkin stew is also a great idea but see that your dog doesn’t consume any other part of the pumpkin as it contains sharp hairs.
