Animal photography is one of the most dangerous branches of photography. It is a genre that deals with documenting various forms of wildlife in their natural habitat. Although it seems very beautiful, but it is very challenging itself.
Capturing animals within a lens with perfect timing is really a tough factor. It needs a lot of technical skills and a sound knowledge in the branch.
The output totally depends on the photographer and his ability to create the frame. Most of the animals will rarely pose for the picture as they don’t have any idea about it.
One of the most important parts that an animal photographer need is to study the language and behaviors of animals. All the time they have to be prepared with their equipments and be ready for the unknown.
Some animals are really difficult to approach and that’s the reason a photographer capturing them should have a sound knowledge on the animal behavior. Even photographing some animals may require stalking skills and use the hide for concealment. Many animal photographers also use camouflage to hide themselves.
While shooting in the wildlife, a photographer normally use telephoto lenses to cover the long distance. Again to capture small creatures like insects macro lenses have to be used. Underwater cameras are also used these days to capture sea animals.
Beautiful Animal Photography at Sunset
Coming to the technical part, it is said that photographer who used perfect aperture, color, blur settings along with appropriate shutter speed and focus techniques can produce stunning photographs. But we think that the matter is not all about it. Actually everything depends on the creative sense.
Suppose capturing an animal from an angle or the creation of frame in mind is all about the creativity. Thinking about the frame composition is the most basic thing needed in this case. After that come all the technical parts and its application.
In the early days of photography, when the full stream was not so developed, it was very difficult to get the photographs of animals because of the slow lenses and the low sensitivity of photographic media. In fact the first wildlife photography was published in 1906 by National Geographic. At that time some of the photos were taken by wire trapped camera traps. The photos were taken by George Shiras III, the then representative of U.S from Pennsylvania.
Here our article is about the animals photographs taken at the time of sunset. The most important thing is that the time during sunset produces a great natural color that mesmerizes our eyes. And capturing amazing animals during this time, keeping the natural background is a very interesting matter.
Normally the sunset looks great from the deserts, mountains, seashores scrublands etc. And to capture the original view of such amazing animals in the amazing color depth, the only option is the wild. Of course it is also a great deal that these animal photographers have to look out for the places from where the sunset view looks great.
